Krakow is a top tourist attraction in Poland so there is a wide selection of hotels available throughout the city. Please remember, however, to book your hotel well in advance because there tends to be competition for the better places that are available.

Below is a list of three hotels that are very close to the Faculty of Chemistry:

  • Campanile Hotel (S. Łojasiewicza 2; 30-348 Krakow) – 300 m (across the street), 3 min walk
  • Vanille Aparthotel (M. Bobrzyńskiego 33, 30-348 Krakow) – 1.1 km, 15 min walk
  • Sympozjum & SPA Hotel (Kobierzyńska 47, 30-363 Kraków) – 1.3 km, 17 min walk

The Faculty of Chemistry is located next to tram line so it has a very good connection (~15 minutes) to the city center.  You can therefore conveniently book hotels in other parts of the city.

For invited lecturers, we have booked rooms with reduced rates at “S. Pigoń Guesthouse” (https://ujinn.pl/en/pigoniowka/), which is a hotel that is managed by the Jagiellonian University. To secure the reduced rate, invited lecturers must confirm their stays at this location with the CTTC IX organizers by August 15.

The University has another hotel that can be available for all attendees: “Floriańska Guesthouse” (https://ujinn.pl/en/florianska/).

Krakow is an academic city where the Fall semester starts at the beginning of October. During the holiday season (which includes the duration of CTTC IX), student dormitories offer rooms at a much lower price than hotels. Hotel accommodation is offered by the following dormitories of the Jagiellonian University:

  • Nawojka Dormitory & Hotel (https://nawojka.hotelestudenckie.pl/en/)
  • Piast Dormitory & Hotel (https://piast.hotelestudenckie.pl/en/)
  • Żaczek Dormitory & Hotel (https://zaczek.hotelestudenckie.pl/en/)

We have booked rooms in the "Żaczek" dormitory. They are available by using the CTTC9 keyword during booking process, and the offer is valid until June 15. After this date, our reservation will be canceled regardless of room availability (to book a room, write directly to the hotel, zaczek@hotelestudenckie.pl, and ask for a room from CTTC-IX reservation).

Another alternative is to seek dormitories that offer hotel rooms at other Krakow-based universities.
